TEACHING ARTIST STUDIO
Co-founded in 2012, the Teaching Artist Studio is designed and led by Briana Linden, Tony Fuemmeler and Subashini Ganesan. TA Studio was founded on the belief that the curiosity, innovation, empathy, liberation and connection-making central in the practice of artists are exactly what is needed for educational change. In this in-depth professional development, artist educators take a deep dive into the elements at the heart of their teaching: the what, the why, and the how. Grounded in the core values of studio mindset, equity, cross-disciplinary methodology, and empowerment, teaching artists examine and explore their own practice within a robust, supportive learning community. Along with TA Studio core facilitators, participants learn from a myriad of voices in the field of arts education, engage in experiential learning activities and then analyze and apply to their own teaching practice.
